ROCK AND SOIL SAMPLING
SAMPLING IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS IN EXPLORATION. THERE ARE SEVERAL STAGES IN THE PROCESS, STARTING WITH THE SELECTION OF THE SITE TO TAKE THE SAMPLE AND THE TYPE, LENGTH, AND VOLUME OR WEIGHT OF THE SAMPLE.
THE COLLECTION PROCEDURE TO MAKE THE SAMPLE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SAMPLED MATERIAL AND MINIMIZE CONTAMINATION IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO DETERMINE THE MOST APPROPRIATE PREPARATION AND ANALYTICAL PROCEDURES FOR THE SAMPLE.
QUALITY CONTROL AT ALL STAGES IS CRITICAL, FROM SAMPLING IN THE FIELD TO SAMPLE PREPARATION AND ANALYSIS IN THE LABORATORY. THIS INCLUDES SELECTING THE APPROPRIATE ANALYTICAL LABORATORY AND COMPARATIVE STUDIES BETWEEN TESTING LABORATORIES.

SOIL AND ROCK GRIDS
GEOCHEMICAL SAMPLE GRIDS ARE CARRIED OUT TO DETERMINE AREAS OF ANOMALOUS GEOCHEMISTRY IN A LARGER, USUALLY THROUGH SOIL AND ROCK SAMPLING. ProDeMin HAS A PORTABLE OLYMPUS DELTA XRF ANALYZER FOR USE DURING SOIL SAMPLING, WHICH PROVIDES REAL-TIME DATA ON CHEMICAL COMPOSITION. THIS INSTRUMENT IS ALSO USEFUL FOR OBTAINING REAL-TIME DATA DURING DRILLING.

REGIONAL EXPLORATION
GEOCHEMICAL PROSPECTING CONSISTS OF THE ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES FROM ROCK OUTCROPS, STREAM SEDIMENTS AND SOILS, AS WELL AS FROM PLANTS THAT MAY CONCENTRATE CHEMICAL ELEMENTS RELATED TO A PARTICULAR TYPE OF MINERALIZATION.

WATER QUALITY
WATER, AS A NATURAL RESOURCE, REQUIRES PROPER MANAGEMENT IN THE MINING INDUSTRY TO SEEKS A BALANCE BETWEEN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS AND OPERATIONAL COSTS, BOTH FOR SURFACE AND GROUNDWATER, AS WELL AS FOR RECYCLED WATER, FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE PROJECT TO THE OPERATIONAL PHASE. THE MANAGEMENT OF WATER QUALITY DATA AND ITS INTEGRATION WITH STATISTICAL DATA, SUCH AS ANNUAL PRECIPITATION AND FLUCTUATIONS IN THE WATER TABLE, IS NECESSARY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL BASELINE STUDIES.

GEOCHEMACAL SURVEY
THIS MAP PRESENTS THE SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF GEOCHEMICAL ANOMALIES IDENTIFIED IN THE LOS PAVITOS PROJECT. THE COLORED POINTS REPRESENT ANOMALOUS CONCENTRATIONS OF KEY ELEMENTS, OBTAINED THROUGH ANALYSIS OF SEDIMENT, SOIL, OR OUTCROP SAMPLES. THESE RESULTS ALLOW FOR THE DEFINITION OF PRIORITY AREAS FOR DETAILED EXPLORATION AND DRILLING.
